He probably means it would be more difficult to find out which changes
actually affected the drop of the recognition quality for the MSVC
builds in the reformatted code.

Do you still need my help to reproduce this on latest MSVC 2008 SP1 and
latest MinGW? I think I will be able to test this later in the evening.
