[Bug 2124971] Re: GNOME JS is making not focused applications have desktop icons above them maybe or maybe not, maybe.

Hello, and thanks for this bug report. Since this issue seems quite
visible, I'm fairly certain that most Noble systems are not affected.
It's likely caused by a specific setting on your system leading to the
unexpected behavior. To triage this as a bug and begin working on it, we
need help reproducing the issue on a freshly installed Noble system.
Could you help with that? You might try starting from a live system
(using the install media). Thanks!

Title:
GNOME JS is making not focused applications have desktop icons above
them maybe or maybe not, maybe.

Status in gjs package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS

  gjs:
    Installed: 1.80.2-1build2
    Candidate: 1.80.2-1build2
    Version table:
   *** 1.80.2-1build2 500
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu noble/main amd64 Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I expect my desktop icons to always be under applications but when I
click on desktop or any other application, there is that application
with desktop icons over the application, it does not matter what
application, but when focus returns to an app it is over desktop icons
entirely, gjs is always running and screenshot thinks it is like
another desktop image maybe or maybe not, maybe. Can you feel free to
ask if you want video or anything more?
