[Bug 837129] [NEW] gnome-session no longer auto saves session

After upgrading from 10.10 to 11.04 previously running applications are
no longer restarted on login.  This behavior used to be controlled by an
option in gnome-sesssion-properties to "Automatically remember running
applications when logging out" but that option no longer exists
