[Bug 823751] Re: Screen Brightness not saved after rebooting

This issue is still there. I'm using a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile
D9500. If I put this GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="acpi_backlight=vendor" in my
/etc/default/grub file, then the brightness works fine; however, the
brightness controls in Settings no longer work.

Title:
Screen Brightness not saved after rebooting

Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When lightdm starts during boot the screen brightness is dimmed to its
lowest value. Once logging onto the system and going into to the
System Settings->Screen dialog and then setting the correct
brightness, the value is not saved therefore at the next boot you have
to do the whole process again.
