[Bug 621262] [maverick] gnome-open doesn't use correct default browser
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
it at http://www.ubuntu.com/download . Thanks again and we appreciate

Title:
[maverick] gnome-open doesn't use correct default browser
Status in “libgnome” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Doing a "sudo gnome-open http://www.ubuntu.com" doesn't use the
default browser that is configured for my user, or for the root user.
On my laptop, it pulls up chromium. In a VM, it pulls up a browser
called "Arora".
This causes apport to open an unsupported browser when it's running
with elevated privileges.
