[Bug 882432] [NEW] network-manager crashes when trying to configure 802.1x TLS network

 

Public bug reported:

When trying to join a wireless network secured with WPA Enterprise
(802.1x TLS ), the network-manager process crashes.

Relevant lines from syslog:

Oct 27 10:30:11 colorado modem-manager[4065]: <info>  Caught signal 15, shutting down...
Oct 27 10:30:11 colorado kernel: [96323.598146] init: network-manager main process (4067) killed by ABRT signal
Oct 27 10:30:11 colorado kernel: [96323.598215] init: network-manager main process ended, respawning
Oct 27 10:30:11 colorado modem-manager[5617]: <info>  ModemManager (version 0.5) starting...
Oct 27 10:30:11 colorado NetworkManager[5619]: <info> NetworkManager (version 0.9.1.90) is starting...

The same problem also occurs when trying to create the network in the
"Edit Connections..." panel.

Additional info:
1. Ubuntu Release: 11.10
2. network-manager:
  Installed: 0.9.1.90-0ubuntu4
  Candidate: 0.9.1.90-0ubuntu4
  Version table:
 *** 0.9.1.90-0ubuntu4 0

3. System should join the wireless LAN or add a connection entry.
