Message #59319
[Bug 907014] [NEW] Brasero Will Not Reliabily Burn Data Disks
Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 11.10 Gnome Classic. Tried to burn audio files as mp3 to a
blank cd and dvd. I could get some regular mp3's to burn but can not
add other ones after. Mp4 files would not burn at all. Then tried
just a data disk with jpg files and could get it to burn but again could
not add new files after the first burn and the allow files to be added
box was checked on the first burn so it should be able. Put a couple
jpg files on a cd-rw for a test and it was ok, went to add another file
and it started writing but at end said there was an error and had to
eject cd manually. Reinserted cd and it can not now be recognized at
all, can not be blanked. Its like the cd does not exist. Works fine
if you put everything you want on the disk and do not try to add
anything else, trying to add extra files makes the cd/dvd useless.
And mp4 audio data files will not burn, error at end of burn, same sort
of thing when trying to add files to the data cd/dvd. DVD operates
normally other than above, loaded Ubuntu operation system with it and
loaded music and picture files saved on a data disk using Windows. All
audio files were purchased on line.
