[Bug 1412700] [NEW] YouTube Vimeo Amazon Playback broken

Public bug reported:

In Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Chromium (probably HTML5 based) video and audio playback is broken.
Vimeo: Video has no sound, runs too fast or hangs
Youtube: Video has no sound, runs too fast or hangs
Amazon: MP3 Previews not working anymore (no sound but time display correct)

System sound is working fine in all other places.
Behavior is the same when using a new user account.

When all these services where flash based, no issues where observed.
A long search around found no reason so far.

Suspect might be a video codec/decoder issue?
