Setting up Indicators with an uncertain catchment population
Dear all,
I just had a conceptual question about the best way to set up indicators in DHIS2.
We run a network of primary health care clinics in Papua New Guinea. We tend to provide supplementary health services (where clinics are dysfunctional, not operating or temporarily out of medications etc) so draw clients across a wide range of official catchment areas (and in constantly changing proportions etc). As an example, at the clinic in which I am sitting currently we draw clients from over 11 government catchment areas
I am comfortable setting up absolute indicators and indicators that reference the clients that come to our services. However, I wondered if anybody had any thoughts about ways we could generate indicators against some form of external population figures. I suspect it might be fairly challenging but was hoping someone may have experienced similar issues in the past.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Dylan
