Re: Messaging Menu
I think the two default apps that do use the messaging menu are Empathy and
Geary, both of which also use notify-OSD and dock badges. (for Geary, you
need a more recent build than 0.1)
IIRC, Empathy didn't use dock badges in Jupiter. If so, that would mean
that our Jupiter users probably use the messaging menu. So, not sure if
that'd be a good Facebook poll there. I'm also not really interested in
feedback from Ubuntu users on this since they probably have many different
expectations about how their shell operates as compared to ours.
I'd be interested in removing the messaging menu for beta1 and seeing if we
get any complaints about missed messages or any direct references to
wanting the messaging menu.
