Re: Bug Bounties

Link?

I found https://www.bountysource.com/trackers/179557-elementary-os which has $100 in bounties.

One real deal breaker for me (to the point where I'd buy a new Mac instead) is spell checking. This is a 2-part issue:

1. Webkit-gtk needs the word to be selected before showing anything. Affects Midori, Geary and more.

2. Nowhere did I find an option to switch language. All my Dutch text is underlined in red. Affects everything but Firefox and Abiword which have their own dictionaries.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/midori/+bug/767379 (links to upstream bug)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/midori/+bug/1283228 (Also affects project...)

Hey Daniel and the others,

I find the bug in Scratch, that you can't select the code table and the OS file ending formats (like you can do with gedit) important enough to have a bounty.

I think, that bug is worthy to have a bounty, because Scratch is kind of useless for me and for some others right now, because there's no ability to save the files without losing my language "special" letters that get replaced by weird symbols.

Best wishes,

Hey everyone,

I'm sure you've seen us posting on social media about bounties that are out there. We've got about $1,500 in bounties out.

These are 100% up for grabs by anyone. Especially all of you. Don't feel like you should leave these bugs for new contributors. A lot of them are Isis beta1 goals.

Also, if there are any bugs you feel would benefit by having a bounty attached, whether it's super difficult or Bitesize, feel free to let me know and I'll throw some money at it (provided we have some in our account).

I know you've heard me say that I want to hire all of you. But there's just not enough cash in the pot yet. So consider this the first step to elementary being able to compensate you for all the hard work you've done.
Happy hacking

Cheers,

Daniel Foré
