Re: What's up with the 18 proposed member for the spanish translator team???
The Administrator has demanded them some prove of that they do use and
respect the translation guidelines.
As a Spanish translator I agree with his decision: Spanish is a very
difficult language to translate, there are a lot of countries and their
Spanish is quite different from eachother. Our goal is to have a truely
neutral localisation of elementary that can be understood in any
Spanish-speaking country.
If we accept people without experience, we're gonna have a badly translated
elementary and that's not acceptable.
Also, I'd like to say that they are helping with the translations, they
translate the applications and then a member can accept them, but as I've
already stated, they have some mistakes (I'm totally sure that eventually
they won't).
Eduard, don't worry, we have them in mind, but please understand our
position, translating into a neutral Spanish is a very difficult task.
