Greetings,

At my site, the adoption of Exchange - a painful process
which is still going on - has meant that Linux users
would have to use Exchange web client (as I understand,
a limited version of full Exchange). Hardly satisfactory
to those who need and like the functionality of Thunderbird
or Evolution.

To solve this, we've set up the DavMail (from SourceForge) server
and added Lightning (from addons.mozilla.org) to Thunderbird.
Combination works well and we're currently looking into
having a dedicated DavMail server and 'spread the word',
so that our users no longer have to use an inferior tool.
(And those who use Exchange might be tempted to switch :) )

It would be nice to see DavMail and Lightning in R.
