Message #00046
[Bug 374480] [NEW] The buttons for creating notes and documents should a) be gotten rid of or b) moved to somewhere else
Public bug reported:
If you go to the filter view, you'll see a "Make new note" and "Make new
document..." buttons.
My subjective opinion is that the buttons are out of place in GZG on the
whole. We do not create new activities, we mainly log them. That POV is,
of course, up for debate.
However, even if they are to be used in GZG, placing them in the filter view is not very obvious. If I were to tell a user "it's there, guess where", it is not very likely that many users would go with the filter view.
A suggestion would be to have a button at the top of the GUI labeled "New activity", which drops down some options, like creating notes, txts, e-mails, etc.
** Affects: gnome-zeitgeist
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
