[Bug 552098] Re: [gtg-refactor] Subtasks missing in task tree

I've cut out all of the Done and Dismissed tasks, and my problem
continues to persist. What I expect is that when selecting a tag
filter, the number of tasks in the tag pane would equal the number of
tasks seen on the application's title bar. When starting up, thanks to
a recent fix, they match for no filter, and in fact, they match for all
of my filters except for one. I have tags named BC, vcs, VPL1000,
SCMDb, etc. Click on any of them except BC they all work. As soon as I
select BC, i get the same odd behavior.

When selecting BC for the first time, the tag pane says 78 tasks, the
title bar say 7. Its the same 7 every time on the first click. Now
that I have selected BC, other filters that used to work, no longer do.
Going back to BC, I get a different set of tasks shown, lets say 10
tasks, navigate away, then back, and this time 27 will show. Navigate
away and back and now I'm back to the original 7 tasks. In all cases
the tag pane shows the correct number, but the task list is too short
and the application title bar has the number shown in the task list.

In any case, it does seem that clicking on the BC filter is causing
something odd to happen, but I haven't figured out what yet. I've
looked at the XML file to see if there is anything odd, and I haven't
found anything yet. I'll continue to whittle it down until I find
something.

Status in Getting Things GNOME!: Incomplete

Bug description:
Using trunk revision 712.

Simply put, the subtasks for a task do no show up in the task list. The subtask count is correct for the task in the tree view, however not all of the subtasks are visible.

Opening up the task and closing will refresh the tree view and the missing tasks appear again.

Switching to a filtered view by selecting a tag from the tag pane can cause the problem to appear again, of course opening up the task fixes the missing subtasks.

By the same token, subtasks of subtasks are also missing, opening up the subtask fixes the children.

I don't see any consistent behavior as to which tasks appear vs. which are missing.
