Public bug reported:

The mouse pointer is not showing "hourglass" or some animation that helps the user understand some action is in process in response to a direct action (say openoffice is loading).
At least while waiting for a page to load in firefox i can see it.
Why not including in the desktop, we are too used to see it in every desktop so you can even think you didnt double clicked properly or so.
Bit confusing.
