Hello Tomas, On Tue, 10 Nov 2009 12:02:46 +0100 (CET) Tomas Pospisek <tpo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:Hello you all, today I was researching problems with my notebook with Ubuntu Karmic (see below). Every Ubuntu upgrade seems to be bringing about regressions wrt to HW. Now Debian and Ubuntu are close and since we all seem to be owning a HP Compaq 6710b I thought maybe we could create a a place where we could informally share info and experience with Linux/Ubuntu/Debian on the 6710b? Thus I created a launchpad team: https://launchpad.net/~hp6710bIt'd be very nice if you'd join and so we all'd have a point of contact if wewant to fix/tweak our laptop.Very good idea. I already joined :)
I've created a mailing list on launchpad, hp6710b at lists.launchpad.net. I'm Cc:ing this to the list and since I don't want to spam people who don't care, I will not be Cc:ing anybody else from now on - you are all very wellcome to join the list here on https://launchpad.net/~hp6710b .
Now to the problem - I wanted to ask you, if anybody has also experienced, that the latop often immediately goes to sleep after resuming from suspend? Switching it on a second time works then...I've had this problem for a while in Debian Sid, but didn't look up the reason because this is Sid anyway and I don't bother with minor issues. I suppose it is from the new GNOME and especially the new power manager or sth. If the problem isn't fixed soon I'll take a look at it.
Igor Vatavuk allready clued me in - here's the relevant bugreport: http://launchpad.net/bugs/425411/ Greets! *t
