[Bug 1201878] [NEW] intel video suspend/resume failed, black screen with mouse cursor

Public bug reported:

I use suspend/resume very often, and usually after many suspend without
reboot at the resume the screen remains black only the mouse cursor is
visible. The mouse cursor works fine, and actually I can unlock the
screen blind, but I don't see anything, only the mouse cursor. Then I
switch to one of the virtual terminals (CTRL-Alt-F1) and back (Alt-F7)
and it helps. but sometimes nothing helps, virtual consols work fine,
but I can't reach my X anymore. Then I see in the syslog the follow:

Jul 15 19:37:42 hostname kernel: [108899.493343] [drm:intel_cpt_verify_modeset] *ERROR* mode set failed: pipe 1 stuck
