[Bug 215624] Re: Philips Semiconductors DVB TV Tuner Card Not Working

Hi.
I see that this issue is inactive since some time.
I want to report the state of my (limited) knowledge about this.

I know how to make this this device work !
All I have to do is Boot into Windows then restart the computer into Ubuntu 15.04.

Here is some console output:

~$ uname -a
Linux Henri1504 3.19.0-21-generic #21-Ubuntu SMP Sun Jun 14 18:31:11 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

When "cold booting" into Ubuntu :
~$ lspci -s 0b:02.0 -vvnn
0b:02.0 Multimedia controller [0480]: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 [1131:7146] (rev 01)

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
My Medion MD96420 came with this DVB-T Tuner card, which doesn't seem
to have any drivers either out of the box or from v4l-dbv. As far as I
can tell, the remote control for it doesn't work either. Here are some
  specs:
