[Bug 1223643] [NEW] [Dell Latitude 3330] Lid close event was not detected at all.

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

CID: 201302-12843

Suspend / LCD off does not work on this system since the lid close event
was not captured at all.

Steps:
1. Boot to desktop, open a terminal and execute acpi_listen
2. Close the lid and wait for 3 seconds, observe if the LCD screen is turned off and system is suspended.
3. Open the lid.

Expected results:
1. System successfully suspended, LCD turned off.
2. With lid opened, system could wake up from suspend and LCD turned on.
3. Lid close/open event was captured by acpi_listen.

Actual results:
1. Nothing happened, LCD still on, system not suspended.
2. Nothing captured by acpi_listen.

With lid opened:
ubuntu@201302-12843:~$ cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/*/state
state: open

With lid closed:
ubuntu@201302-12843:~$ cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/*/state
state: open

Please find attachment for fwts lid test result.
