Message #172372
[Bug 1570899] Re: Suspend problem with kernel 4.4
Sorry for not replying those days.
Joseph I am not sure I can test this kernel because I am noob in doing
anything with linux and this is also my working laptop so I can't mess
it up.
After I put the computer to suspend, the screen closes but the system is
still working (the fans never go to sleep). However it is not possible
to wake the computer up (the computer sceen stays black no matter what
you press). So I can't type a command in the terminal after waking the
computer (technicaly it never went into suspension).
So please give me some information on which log files to send you after
I reboot my computer from the power buttor after a failed suspension. I
will switch kernels tonight again.
Thank you
** Description changed:
When I install the linux kernel 4.4 (any of it) my laptop won't go to
suspend when I close the lid or press the suspend (sleep button) this
does not happen with kernel 4.2.0-27 (not sure of other 4.2 kernels). My
- laptop is a Lenovo G50-70 with a Radeon R5 M230.
+ laptop is a Lenovo G50-70 with a Radeon R5 M230. (linux Mint 17.3
+ Cinammon)
