[Bug 1576906] [NEW] Synaptics touchpad not well detected

 

Public bug reported:

I am using Ubuntu 16.04 on a Acer Aspire V3-472G equiped with a
Synaptics touch pad. According to dmesg, the touchpad is detected as a
generic  mouse and synaptics driver seems not to be loaded
