[Bug 1575467] Re: [Dell Inspiron 3451] WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 1297 at /build/linux-lts-utopic-vy2yyy/linux-lts-utopic-3.16.0/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:1743 vlv_wait_port_ready+0x126/0x170 [i915]()
I having trouble cloning the whole git repository as it's about 2gb in
size. Once it's cloned i guess git bisect can help narrow down which
commit was the first bad one.
But i assume there was some sort of error in the logs i originally
uploaded, which is why the title of my bug report was changed. If that
is true then using the "i915" keyword we can use that as a hint to where
the problem is. Since Kernel 4.2.0-040200rc1 was the first bad kernel i
found then i am guessing that the first bad commit is some where between
Ubuntu-4.2.0-1.1_rc1 and Ubuntu-3.19.0-20.20 which i assume does not
have the problem.

[Dell Inspiron 3451] WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 1297 at /build/linux-lts-
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
After upgrading from stock Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04 my laptop
consistently freezes up and is unresponsive to keyboard or mouse. The
only way is to do a hard shutdown. I'm usually in a browser when this
happens, and often watching a video or two. It seems to happen more
often in Google Chrome than Firefox, but it happens with both. It has
happened at least once with no videos loaded. I haven’t observed it
freeze / hang when I’m not in a browser, but that's mainly what i use
my laptop for, so that's where most of my time is spent.
