Title:
USB device disconnect leads to all devices on hub disconnecting
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Steps to reproduce:
1. Connect a pl2303 USB to serial adapter to the system
2. Connect a device that generates some serial data periodically
3. Open minicom and view data from device
4. Close minicom but leave device connected to the serial adapter
(some time passes)
5. At some point, when the device sends data, the serial USB device disconnects, and takes down all devices on the internal hub.
