Title:
  Computer crash at start-up

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Hi,

Since the update from 10.10 to 11.04, my computers crashes at startup. Symptoms are the following :
  - switch PC on
  - "Asus" logo display
  - then screen shutdown ("no signal")
  - PC restart
  - message appears "Boot fail, press F1 to continue or DEL to enter BIOS"
  - by pressing F1 PC restarts normally

This issue does not exist with 10.10 kernel 2.6.32.28 (tested from a
USB HDD). I tried the 3 available kernel (2.6.38-8, -10,-11), but
result is the same at each try.

It seems that I am not the only one with this kind of problem
  (http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=581701, http://forum
.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=573951&p=2). Are you aware about this
  problem ?
