[Bug 1323423] Re: [Samsung NP350E5C-A02AU] function keys cause machine to freeze
Appears to be present in Raring, Saucy, and Trusty kernels so it is
clearly related to the unique hardware of this Samsung notebook.
What has changed is the behaviour with Trusty. In earlier versions of
Xubuntu the volume function keys didn't cause is state requiring a
reboot.
Now looking at getting the scancodes for the keys to see if it is
possible to reprogram them.

FN+F6 (Mute), FN+F7 (Volume Down), and FN+F7 (Volume Up) cause the
machine to become highly unstable requiring a power off holding the
power button in. This did not happen in Ubuntu 13.04.
