However, so your hardware and problem may be tracked, could you please file a new report with Ubuntu by executing the following in a terminal while booted into the default Ubuntu kernel (not a mainline one) via:
ubuntu-bug linux

  [Dell XPS 9333] WiFi dropping on

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Wifi drops on Intel Corporation Wireless 7260, on a Dell XPS 9333.

  It happens on a D-Link DIR-625 but not on a Netgear WNDR4500 wireless
  router. The main symptom is, even while next to the router, the
  connection stops responding every other minute, for minutes at a time.

  It seems if I leave my computer running the command "ping 8.8.8.8" it
  will ping for roughly a minute, fine, and then stop, then resume, and
  so on.
