[Bug 1338574] [NEW] ASUS PCE-N15 low throughput in Precise

 

Public bug reported:

Right after reboot the download speed test reports 20 Mbps. A few
minutes later it drops to 2 Mbps. PCE-N15 has RealTek RTL8188CE and the
driver module is rtl8192ce which appears to support this chip. I have
always tested this by restarting and rerunning the OOKLA speed test. The
wireless router is a UBEE and supports 11b and 11g only

I've read enough to see this appears to be an ongoing issue and I've tried most all the "fixes" I've found to no avail.
Even web page video stutters and breaks up.
