Hi Milan,
it works for me too. Fresh install of Windows XP Pro SP2. Current
MinGW and MSYS. I did not need the second step from Dick's manual (hi!
:)). Everything is compiling and linking just fine.

Maybe You should try to create a new build environment?

PS. Try the latest SVN. I've commited some tweaks for windows.
