Have you tried with a DXF plot? it's actually better for that purpose sincecircles (holes) remains circles in DXF, while in vrml they got approximated by poligons... I.E. in autocad you can just import the DXF and pick an hole with a CEN snap!
Anyway I'll try to extract the VRML code, is substantially standalone...
