Laptops on the bench are actually very useful... 1280 seems a good
resolution to aim for (1024 would be desiderable but I agree it's
difficult).

Very good compromise for me. Did work on mainframes with 8 character
limitation (and no extension, either :D) and I'm still alive. Also you
had to state how big the files would be on creation :P:P
