That resolution is quite fine... you should only lose the microwave
toolbar button, since now the layer list is scrollable... and maybe one
or two of the least used tools in eeschema but they should be accessible
with menu and/or keys anyways.

(The real idiocy is wide screen panels, brought us by the wave of TV
sets... no wonder the 'side bars' are everywhere these days!)
