If you're an upstream developer who has decided to dive into Ubuntu
bugs, just to see what needs to be forwarded or (say) what might have
patches, you'll want from time to time to apply mass edits to the list.
For example, you might know that a bunch of bugs are fixed upstream, or
are duplicates of some other bug in the list -- your expertise in the
product enables you to know things that other Ubuntu maintainers might
not know.
