Good question.  It has not been resolved.  I raised it, and then Francis raised it with Danilo, who IIRC responded after-hours that he agreed that Launchpad devs did not need to be on the hook for that task.  Since he was well past his EoD we did not pursue it further at the time.  Someone needs to follow up--someone on their CHR week might be a natural fit.  If I find translation moderation messages when I do CHR in a week's time, I'll certainly follow up myself.
