Fair enough, sorry for being narrow minded :) Fetching the tarball
above with wget on Ubuntu 9.04 works without warning for me, so I
imagine that wget on your Solaris box only has an older or different
set of root certificates installed with it.

Splendid, that's great. It was probably one of the Foundations
