Depending on how large and complex the package is, and how much other stuff is in the queue, this might take a few days up to a few weeks. Quite a lot of packages never hit the archive at all, since they are not legally redistributable or have other licensing problems. In that case, the uploader is notified about the reason, with ubuntu-archive@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx in CC:.
