[Bug 1032780] [NEW] Export h264 profile specifies ac3 instead of aac
Public bug reported:
I've been editing a source file from an Xacti HD-1010 720p 29.97, that
conforms with MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 and MPEG-4 audio (AAC compression). I
had exported a file using the HD 720p 29.97 fps profile, which seemed to
play fine. When I used Handbrake to downsample the video further, I
noticed pumping noises in the audio.
Looking at the Openshot profile for HD 720p 29.97 fps, I notice that the
default audio codec is ac3. My reading at
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=12602#pid106960
says that "The official mp4 standards does not include AC3 as an
intended audio stream in the mp4 container. You are creating a non
standard file when you include 5.1 AC3 in an mp4 container".
I have changed the setting for the audio codec to be aac, manually. You
might save some effort for future people by correcting this profile.
Thanks.
Xubuntu 12.04, Openshot 1.4.0-1ubuntu1, libmlt 0.7.6+git20120204-2
