Message #01703
switching between English and Japanese keyboard
1. I installed japanese in 'Language Support' but not sure what else should
I do and also what keys are used to switch languages.
2. Also, I notice a selectbox - 'keyboard input method system' but I am not
sure if I need to change it.
3. Also when I login i see 'language' dropdown. the options are: en_AU,
en_CA, en_GB, en_US, zh_CN, zh_HK, zh_TW.
are those input language or is it for changing the ui of my menus etc?
I read on ubuntu forums that lucid is using IBus instead of scim. not sure
what does it mean though.
Here is my question on ubuntuforums:

Here is the thread about IBus:

Any tips would be great, I am fine with text-based instructions or GUI
