Re: 12.04 beta 1 ppc

you should not be getting the messed up black screen?

I've cc'd Raphael and Julien to see when that issue will be ported to ppc

ppc is community supported (
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD ) I don't see a
mini CD version for 12.04 testing. But I can go ask.

I'm really sorry, but lubuntu has no real control over what the base
package of ppc is unless it is an addition that we put on that breaks
things. Once again, you need to shout on the forum thread / raise a bug. I
can follow a bug up on your behalf but I cannot raise it. I know it is
frustrating, but the more information on a bug (e.g. apport) the better the
chance of me getting someone to get interested. There are so many bugs
raised each day that we have volunteers who remove the duplicates to try
and let the devs actually deal with an issue.

With the major issue of what happened to us at this stage, if our devs /
graphics people say that we have to concentrate on our major release - We
have to accept that. It was a massive amount of work to be undertaken &
very unfairly on us and other flavours of Debian based linux. As Raphael
said "it's always the user who loses out". But, I do promise, that our guys
will do everything they can to get you guys a working ppc. (We just REALLY
have done without this).

Regards,

Phill.
