Re: 20120412 Lubuntu precise-desktop amd64 spin NO BUGS
Excellent news! That's one heck of a lot of testing, thanks!
I should really whisper this, but there is a beta kernel lurking in the
sidelines. As you can imagine, the release team would normally never even
consider such a thing this late in the cycle and so long after the kernel
freeze when there was a blitz on testing, without good reason. They are
really burning the midnight oil getting bugs squished at an almighty rate
of knots, yet they are still finding time for those 'annoying' little
paper-cuts while they await test results on their 'main' bug lists.
Even though I am a long way from home, I do get and read the emails and
this mailing list has gone wonderfully quiet. The release team and all the
various devs, graphics people etc. are amazing; each time that they ask of
you all to go that extra mile, you have never failed to rise to the
challenge. If it were not for dedicated testers, they would not have the
feed back that they need to ensure 12.04 is the BEST release ever produced.
Not long to go :) When 12.04 lands to acclaim, you will be able to smile
and say to yourself and others..... "I was there, I helped make that
happen".
Regards,
Phill.
