Re: Call for Testing: 12.10 Kernel on 12.04

Wow, I almost had a mess here. Started up my precise install with the
testing kernel and decide to use Startup Disk Creator to get a few
USBs ready for testing the daily current build 20120614 amd64. After
getting the USB created and booted I could not get Lxterminal to do
anything but open (no text appeared lubuntu@lubuntu and could not type
in the lxterminal window. Decide to Shutdown and reboot.. hit the
shutdown icon no shutdown dialog in box had the rest like suspend,
hibernate and log-out. So I shutdown with Alt-sysrg EIOSUB..
Re-created the USB: erased, and built with persistent again with my
precise and the test kernel 3.4.0-4-generic. Same stuff...

Then I thought maybe it is the Kernel and the Startup Disk (USB)
Creator messing me up. I started my precise with the latest updated
kernel in precise and re-built the USB. Long story short.. the USB is
just fine with the current daily Lubuntu amd64 20120614 I am using it
right now.

Man, I was about to start filing Bugs galore...

I think I might get rid of that test kernel.. Nah I will keep it for
testing.. But I will be careful not to start it if I want to make some
usable USBs..
