You may have something there.. Here is what I see when I start "hardinfo"
from CLI

test@test-Latitude-D620:~$ hardinfo
/usr/share/themes/Lubuntu-default/gtk-2.0/panel.rc:65: error: unexpected
identifier `textstyle', expected character `}'

sh: 1: /lib/libc.so.6: not found
WARNING: gnome-keyring:: couldn't connect to:
/home/test/.cache/keyring-0nRi3n/pkcs11: No such file or directory

The second group of text is after I close the small empty windows.

Here is the line 65 in /usr/share/themes/Lubuntu-default/gtk-2.0/panel.rc

ythickness = 0

}
}


Also "clearlooks" was different in 12.04.
