Well yes, but not without some adjustment. Used the Alternate iso from disk, and did the install. Booted it up and got the problems described in the various bug reports. Same result with the live disk.

Then went to <cntl-alt-F1> to command line and installed the attached file in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/

The procedure is described on a Wordpress page by Sam Martin. Best to follow it. A copy and paste of my file might not work. There are a couple of commands to be done first which give you the modeline to incorporate in the 10-monitor.conf file. Might be machine specific.

After installing the 10-monitor.conf file as above, I rebooted and all was well.
