Does a test case exist for "abiword'?

I'm struggling with this, and of course I've searched to the best of my ability.

Basically I'm working on some old Precise bugs:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/abiword/+bug/1019621

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/abiword/+bug/960089

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/991399

As you can see in the first link (comment #38) Julien was kind enough to upload the Quantal version to his staging PPA. And it seems to work great but I have a few questions, mostly regarding this:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/abiword/2.9.2+svn20120603-1

Specifically; "depends on 'fonts-lyx' instead of transitional 'ttf-lyx' ", but I also notice some difference in depends/recommends between Lubuntu, Xubuntu, and Ubuntu.

Do I have you as confused as I am right now?

I realize since our 12.04 was NOT LTS this effects us less than Xubuntu which does ship 'abiword' by default and Ubuntu itself which does NOT ship abiword, but Ubuntu 12.04 is supported for 5 years (Xubuntu 12.04 for 3 years)  and we have some super smart and willing people here, and I'm very impressed that Julien jumped in with that addition to one of his PPA's ;^)

But, beyond the complications explained above, my general use of Abiword is fairly mundane so I wondered if an actual test-case exists?
