Re: payment management

Hello guys,
I think I start to understand your commit indeed but still need to
take some time studying it. At least it's not what I feared like you
didn't figure out the system with set up with the statements, so I
tend to trust you it's a nice contrib, but I still have to understand
better how you use account_payments.
I forgot to mention that our contribution also allows to configure how
the sales orders are generated (shipping policy, packing policy, invoice
on) depending on the Magento payment type.
BTW, the commit rule we stated still holds true. We will soon issue
some demo video promoting the connector, will cite Openlabs and
Akretions as the main contributors but will not forget to mention
Zikzakmedia as the 3 rd contributor and as soon as one holds a
significant part of the commit he becomes a main contributor as the
others (can't remember exactly the figures we stated, but will forward
it to the list soon to clarify how that project is open).
Good the idea of releasing a demo video.
As I told, the promotion as a contributors of the module is not an
important matter for us. We have not any problem in giving without
anything receiving. Well, we think receiving the openerp framework from
tiny&others or the magento connector from Openlabs-Akretion is the
better gift we could receive.
I copy here the rule you gave me some months ago, other members of this
mailing list could be interested in:
- let be X the number of main contributors (currently, X=2 : Openlabs
and Akretion; Smile can check again it has been a total rewrite of the
connector they funded initially).
- ideally each contributing company should hold 1/X of the total Bazaar
Karma carried by X.
- however, because the world is not perfect and evolving, I propose that
as soon as one contribute only 1/(3*X) the Bazaar Karma carried by X
(him being counted in X), then he his cited as a main contributor,
meaning we rename the project team to mention his name or company's
name, for instance: Openlabs-Akretion-ZikZak.
Bazaar Karma can be checked

OK, for now we will push some more multi's fixes and an urgent light
ir_model_data/base_external_referentials light refactoring to make it
more generic and more adherent to the standard way OpenERP works witrh
ir_model_data. I'm back on this soon. That would require one or two
SQL commands to migrate, but I think that's important to byte the
bullet now, before too many guys use it in production.
Ok and thanks for this refactoring, but I am a bit confused. I have seen
you have also merge the Sebastien's Magento connector branch to the
official one, so I suppose now the connector supports multishops
synchronization.
1) With the new version of base_external_referentials we must use the
last version of Magento connector?
2) You tell that it requires one or two SQL commands to migrate and you
come back and post the SQL command, so I supose is better to wait. Have
you tested it in a production environment?
3) I the other email you told you will do another refactoring. It's
better to wait until you finnish this refactoring?
Thanks and regards,
