Ok, now I've got more information. In Windows, with Firefox and all add-
ons, upload takes infinite time. But with all add-ons disabled, upload
works. I figured out that only one add-on is responsible of this :
downloadthemall! 2.0, although I don't know why.

Can you replicate this with this add-on?

  My version of Mahara : 1.3.3
  My version of operating system : Windows Seven
  My version of database : MySQL
  My version of browser : Firefox 3.6.13

  When I upload a empty text file, I can see the upload is in progress
  but it never ends. However, if the text file contains at least one
  character, the upload takes one nanosecond.
