affects Mahara 1.5 (seen so far only on MyPortfolio as that is the site
where I get messages ;-) )

I had over 1,000 messages of various types in my Inbox, primarily system
messages about institution membership, join requests, forum messages
etc. When I deleted them selectively as is possible with 1.5 (to keep
messages sent by users), the messages were counted down incorrectly. At
the moment I still have 27 messages, but the Inbox count is "0" even
after having been logged out.
