Hi Martijn,

I agree that metadata is important, but I respectfully disagree that
it should have blocked the release of 10.2. My company is using check
constraints in production and (after 6 years of using MySQL) we are
glad to finally have check constraints available to us. In fact, check
constraints are the main reason we switched from MySQL to maria.

I'm not a MariaDB developer, just a user, so it's just my opinion.
