It is legitimate that you look to implement what you (or your family)
are needinng.

It is probably also because it requires some know-how that most of the
people that are using your software do not have. And the few that would
be able to help have probably plenty to do elsewhere and don't have the
time to delve into another project...

In fact, kaffeine is what I am currently using.
When I saw Me-TV and the feedback it received, I hoped that something
similar might arrive for GNOME. But I can understand that it is not your
goal, at least in the near and middle term...

PS: You should make clear in the description of 0.6 that it is only for
dvb-t.

Status in Me TV, it's TV for me computer: Confirmed
Bug description:
Ubuntu 8.10 development version
Me-TV 0.5.33
DVB-S card
When using dvb-s, Astra 19.2 east and Hotbird 13e are two satellite positions that are widely used in Western Europe. Each of these satellites broadcasts over 1000 channels.
Me-Tv becomes quite unresponsive when using a huge channel-list; it takes very long to start up; opening the EPG takes very long,...
A work around for the user is to only keep the few channels that are of interest to him in the channel list; but I hope that it will be possible to really speed up the channel handling. (Maybe that it will require separating channel switching and epg)
