OSHIP Implementations
Hi All,
As many of you already know. We have for sometime planned that there
would be OSHIP implementations in multiple programming languages.
The Python implementation has always been located at
https://launchpad.net/oship since it moved from SourceForge.
We are happy to announce that Shinji KOBAYASHI is now leading the OSHIP
Ruby implementation, code named OSHIPrb (pronounced OSHIP-sub-RB or
OSHIP-RUBY).
We also have the very beginnings of OSHIPjava as a project. We need
Java developers and a project lead for this.
We have also reserved OSHIPlua (LUA) and OSHIPcpp (C++) space on
Launchpad.
The Python implementations new home will be OSHIPpy. However, we do not
want to interrupt the current development momentum that Deigo has so
expertly begun. So we will have to ask Deigo to think about the best
timing for moving it to its new home on Launchpad. Once that is done, I
will have the current OSHIP project converted to an umbrella site like
the current MLHIM project is now. If you haven't noticed. There are
minor differences in how management of regular projects and umbrella
projects are performed.
You can see from the MLHIM umbrella project page
https://launchpad.net/mlhim all of the sub-projects.
Thanks for your time.
Regards,
Tim
